These Baked Garlic Parmesan Wings & Drumettes are incredibly simple to make and perfect for any occasion where you need a delicious, hassle-free appetizer.

Servings: Approximately 40 pieces

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 1 hour

Total Time: 1 hour 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 packages – approximately 40 chicken wings/drumettes
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp granulated garlic + more for dusting
  • 2 tsp season salt
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese – divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, black pepper, season salt, granulated garlic, and 1/2 cup of the parmesan cheese. Add the chicken wings and drumettes to the bowl and toss thoroughly until all pieces are evenly coated.
  3. Arrange the coated chicken in a single layer on a large baking sheet fitted with a wire rack. This ensures even cooking and crispier skin.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the chicken juices run clear and the wings are golden brown and crispy.
  5. Once baked, remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 cup parmesan cheese and additional granulated garlic to taste. The residual heat will help the cheese melt slightly and adhere beautifully.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy these incredibly flavorful and easy-to-make wings!

Notes: Air Fryer Method

For an even quicker method or smaller batches, these wings can be prepared in an air fryer. Reduce the recipe quantity by 50-75% depending on your air fryer’s capacity, or cook in multiple batches. Ensure to lightly spray the coated wings with a bit more oil before air frying for optimal crispiness. Cook the wings at 380 degrees F (195 degrees C) for 24 minutes, flipping them halfway through. Then, increase the temperature to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and cook for an additional 6-8 minutes, or until they reach a beautiful golden brown and are exceptionally crispy. Always check for an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) to ensure they are fully cooked.
