Tools: Hacksaw, measuring tape, pencil, drill, drill bits (suitable for pilot holes through bamboo), screwdriver (or drill attachment), safety glasses.
Step 1: Selecting and Preparing Your Bamboo
Start by carefully selecting your bamboo. For the two main side rails, choose pieces that are relatively straight, sturdy, and of a consistent thickness, typically around 1.5 to 2 inches in diameter. These will bear the weight of your blankets and provide the structural integrity of the ladder.
